Goals:

 

1. Download the corresponding versions of the software packages mentioned above. Notice: what we need are source files.

 

Visit homepage of gate: http://opengatecollaboration.healthgrid.org/

Make registration and then you can visit the download page,

There is a table providing source code lists, get the 1^st group (20/8/2008)

Geant 4 home page: http://geant4.web.cern.ch/geant4/

CLHEP home page: http://proj-clhep.web.cern.ch/proj-clhep/

ROOT home page: http://root.cern.ch/

LMF and STIR are not required by now, install them if you are interested in them.

Download all the corresponding source code and installation guide.

 

2. Installation of the software downloaded. The sequence is CLHEP ‐>GEANT4‐>ROOT‐>GATE, if LMF is required, please install it before GATE. For every package, there is a detailed installation guidance on its homepage, please download and read it first.

 

After read all the installation guides, and make sure their relationships, then install them by yourself first.

The most difficult part is the installation of CLHEP and GEANT4, if you can’t finish, I can provide some shell

Under FC for reference, but remember to try it by yourself first.

 

3. Download auxiliary software you want and install them.

 

Some software like LMF; STIR; R; ImageJ and so on
