1. 習慣於

be used to　　　　be accustomed to

eg: I'm used to loneliness. / 我已習慣孤獨

　   He is accustomed to hard work.  / 他習慣艱苦工做

　   She used to make a speech in public. / 她過去習慣於在大衆下發表演講。    注意這裏的 used to 表示的是過去習慣於，不是「曾經」的意思。若是想要表達過去曾經作過什麼，用的應該是once,ever。

2. pick up steam

雖然百度了下，時提高速度和實力的意思。好比颶風正在逐漸加強，he hurricane is picking up steam. 可是感受翻譯成局勢越愈演愈烈，戰鬥白熱化這樣也是能夠的

3. for goodness sake

sake [n.緣故;理由;日本米酒;目的]

for Christ's, God's, goodness', heaven's, pity's, etc. sake （強調重要或表示惱火）看在上帝份上，天哪，行行好吧，千萬 

for the sake of sb/sth  /  for sb's/sth's sake　　爲了某人（或某事）起見；因某人（或某事）的緣故

4. handful

少數，少許;一把（的量）;難以控制的人（或動物）;棘手事

Only a handful of people came./只有少數幾我的來了.　　Her children can be a real handful./她的孩子們有時很難管教。

5. help out

I help out with the secretarial work./我幫着作些祕書工做

engage in sth

（使）從事，參加 
to take part in sth; to make sb take part in sth

Even in prison, he continued to engage in criminal activities.

他甚至在監獄裏還繼續從事犯罪活動。

She tried desperately to engage him in conversation .

她用盡辦法要他跟她談話。

9. commitment  n. 承諾，保證；委託；承擔義務；獻身　　eg: But I do expect some commitment to reinforce coordination. /但我認爲會作出一些承諾以增強協調。

10. prevail 英 /prɪ'veɪl/   vi. 盛行，流行；打敗，獲勝   

eg:  His case did not prevail in the courts, but his sentiment found support in the Legislature and the press. /他的訴訟案沒有在法庭上獲勝，可是他的觀點在立法機關和新聞界裏找到了支持

         sentiment: n. 感情，情緒；情操；觀點；多愁善感 　　 Legislature:  n. 立法機關；立法機構      press: vt. 壓；按；逼迫；緊抱,vi. 壓；逼；重壓,n. 壓；按；新聞；出版社；[印刷] 印刷機

　　  Similarly, more open technology could also still prevail in the mobile industry. /相似的, 更多的開放技術能夠在移動業流行開來.
