不少人抱怨極路由沒有提供有線中繼功能,如下教程使用小米路由器做爲主路由器(upstream router), 極2路由做爲有線中繼. 這樣能夠比無線中繼更穩定,性能更好。網絡
其實並無所謂「有線中繼」的概念,應該說「給一個有線網絡鏈接添加無線接入功能」,也就是所謂的wireless access point (AP).app
一個無線路由器=路由器+無線APless
之前當無線路由器剛出來的時候,價格昂貴,相比較而言,無線AP更有性價比,可是如今無線路由器廠商衆多,價格競爭激烈,甚至已經比無線AP還便宜,因此用無線路由器就能夠了。ide
如下步驟隨手用英文記錄,懶得翻譯了。性能
注意: 這種方式有點hacking, 出了問題後果自負。ui
目前存在的問題是: 極路由的雲插件無法用了,頁面互聯網狀態顯示稍有瑕疵(Step 11),固件不能自動在線更新,不過我以爲都無傷大雅。this
The basic idea is to turn Gee into a wireless switcher/AP.idea
0. Do NOT connect Gee router to any upstream router. (This is just for clarity.)spa
1. Connect to the default Gee router wifi access point. e.g. HiWiFi_XXXXX插件
2. Go to management page of Gee router. (If you didn't follow step 0, you may need to manually configure your network adapter to be in the same segment as Gee. Default Gee segment is 192.168.199.x.)
3. Keep the DHCP function enabled in Gee. (This is why you can connect your computer wirelessly to the Gee router in step 1. Otherwise, you have to use a wired connection to configure the Gee router as AP.)
4. Modify the Gee's admin page IP into the same segment as upstream router. e.g. 192.168.31.2. So that later you can manage Gee within the upstream router's segment. (Make sure this IP is not in the upstream router's DHCP range. This is to avoid potential IP confilict.)
5. Gee will ask you to reboot. Reboot it.
6. Visit the management page at the new IP set in step 3. e.g. 192.168.31.2.
(btw, you will find the DHCP segment in Gee has automatically changed from 192.168.199.* to 192.168.31.* accordingly.)
7. Rename 2.4G and 5G wifi APs if you want and add passwords to secure them. Then the default HiWiFi_XXXXX access point will disappear. And if you type ipconfig command line, you will find no ip configuration now.
8. Connect to the new APs in step 7.
9. Connect Gee's LAN (NOT WAN) port to upstream router LAN port with a wire.
10. Disable Gee's DHCP function since we want upstream router to provide the DHCP function. (Because there should be only one DHCP server in a single segment.)
11. Now you can use Gee as a wireless switcher/AP.
(btw, if you go to Gee's management page at 192.168.31.2 and check the "Internet" tab, it still says "no connection to Internet". I think this page is related to Gee's WAN port, which connects to nothing now. But anyway. Just leave it as automatic mode and change nothing since WAN port is never used in our scenario.)
Some suggestions:
1. Set the AP Gee's wireless channel to be different from the upstream router's channel.
2. Set the AP Gee's SSID to be different from the upstream router's. I believe explicit is better than implicit.
3. Encrypt the AP Gee's AP, as step 7 above says.
On my box, 192.168.31.1 is the Mi Mini router management page, 192.168.31.2 is the Gee router management page. Quite handy for me.And both Mi and Gee are in the same segment, which is desired by many...
