With the release of Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.1.0) installing Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control is a three step process requiring the installation of Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Database prior to installing Grid Control. sql

Installing the oracle-validated RPM installs RPMs required for an Oracle installation as well as creates the operating system user oracle. The lesson uses operating system user oracle to install all the software.dom

Before Enterprise Manager Grid Control can use the database, the Enterprise Manager Database Control repository must be dropped and the configuration files removed.
